Expert Bio

Dr. Chen Du, a registered dietitian and a sleep expert, aims to help you improve your health through better nutrition and sleep. Services Chen provides: - Sleep consultation for insomnia and poor-quality sleep - Nutrition consultation for weight management, body building, and sports performance - Nutrition consultation for managing chronic disease, including type 2 diabetes, high blood pressure, and hear conditions Chen worked in the world of nutrition for 10+ years. She served as a private dietitian for He Chong, a Chinese National Diving Team diver and the 2008 Olympic Champion in the 3m springboard. In addition, she practiced as a clinical dietitian care for clients in need of weight management, sports nutrition management, and diabetic and metabolic syndrome management for 7 years. Chen also taught in University of Dallas as an adjunct nutrition faculty for 3 years and taught in Texas Woman’s University for 3 years. Chen is also a CrossFit level 1 and level 2 certifier trainer, and a USA weightlifting level 1 coach. She is currently working with athletes to optimize their nutrition and sleep in order to maximize their trainings and performance. Dr. Chen Du obtained her PhD in human nutrition from Michigan State University. Her research focuses on exploring the relationships between eating behaviors, dietary intake, sleep, and health outcomes. Chen Du graduated with her Bachelor of Science in dietetics from Iowa State University. She completed her Master of Science in Nutrition at Texas Woman’s University and her Master of Public Health at Baylor University. She contributed to 10+ scientific publications in credible journals and have been cited over 450 times over the past 4 years.

About my sessions:

  • You will fill out a survey asking questions about your sleep, nutrition, physical activities, lifestyle, and health related issues etc. prior to the one on one session. In the session, you will obtain a comprehensive personalized guide for nutrition, hydration, sleep, and stress management to help you address your health issues and your life goals. I will walk you through how to achieve a healthier lifestyle and your health goals step by step. Follow up sessions might be needed depending on your goals.
