Lisa Pertoso

Comedy & Creative Coach

New York, NY, USA

Expert Bio

🌟Need more humor, laughter, and lightness? Hire me, your new comedy coach.🌟 I’m offering a sizzling HOT, once in a THIS SUMMER deal to help you punch up presentations, pitches, speeches, essays, reports, articles, meetings, and other boring stuff. I’ll shake up your perspective using tools from improv, sketch comedy, satire writing, and storytelling. First, I’ll ask you questions about your goals, intentions, and audience, and then help you pepper your project with weirder, more creative, more fun and funny ideas. Or salt, if you prefer. You’ll leave with some tangible next steps, but in order to progress you’ll have to actually do them. Sorry, but…YOU CAN DO IT. 💡How Can I Help You? Thanks for asking…💡 – Ideate on a project where you feel stuck. Knowing zero about your project makes me an excellent brainstorming partner. – Coach you to be funnier by being your authentic self (comedy comes from truth not bad jokes) – Suggest energizing ice breakers for more effective meetings so you can be the cool boss you always wanted to be! – Share playful exercises for people who need routine work breaks (freelancers, anyone who works-from-home, anyone who works and suffers from existential dread after 3pm, or it just me?). – Give constructive feedback on humor and satire short written pieces (I’m a published writer! Which means nothing!) 🌎 Why me? Wow, more questions? Ok. 🌏 * 14 years of performing and teaching improv theater, storytelling, sketch comedy * Published writer of satire, humor and personal essays. Work has appeared in McSweeney’s, Glamour, Insider, and more. My portfolio: * 20+ years experience as a facilitator, speaker, coach, learning designer, and consultant. Love working with creatives, or people who think they aren’t creative and funny. Caveat: Must be a human. * I once had a dating blog and strangers liked it. * I’m a mom and that sh*t is FUNNY.
